Week 23 (cont.):

Tuesday 1st
DHT day 2.  Assembly, 1:1, safeguarding, interview. Phew! Then govs at 1745.
Wednesday 2nd
Balaclava ban. Trouble at the shops. Training session.
Thursday 3rd
Greenwich Heads’ Conference in Eastbourne.
Friday 4th
And I remain at the seaside, missing World Book Day.

Week 24:

Monday 7th
Borough Heads’ meeting looking at KS4 and 5, stopping the drift to grammar schools from Greenwich.  Excellent ideas all round.
Tuesday 8th
Early meeting with a much-admired colleague newly re-enthused about prospects.
Wednesday 9th
Singing workshop with Ex Cathedra, year 7 and 8, reluctance soon overcome.
Thursday 10th
In the afternoon, all the trainee teachers in Greenwich, in our hall: ethics.
Friday 11th
ASCL conference until tomorrow, 1000 heads gather. Another Secretary of State. 

Week 25:

Monday 14th
…and to the Grocers’ Hall for a Leadership Day and a dinner at the Mercers. Useful!
Tuesday 15th
High profile reviews again: 10 most troubled souls in each year. What next to do?
Wednesday 16th
Another DHT shortlist.  39 applications, 12 good, 6 listed. My teaching observed.
Thursday 17th
HT report to govs, 12 supporting documents.  Govs visit attendance, I visit Science.
Friday 18th
Brompton to Plumstead at the very start of the day, blessed haircut at the end.

Week 26:

Monday 21st
Delightful visitors from Enfield, nice to talk about why and how we teach.
Tuesday 22nd
Improvement Partner visit, then the Anti-Racist Steering Group.
Wednesday 23rd
Long and difficult hearing, then union reps’ meeting.  Laban in school dancing for us.
Thursday 24th
Community school heads online, charming Slovenians, HT performance management.
Friday 25th
Talking to Science. Catching up the week.

Week 27:

Monday 28th
DHT Curriculum interviews day 1: lost one candidate overnight, so 5.
Tuesday 29th
Day 2: appointment made. It’ll be the first all-female head and DHT team we’ve had.
Wednesday 30th
Options evening, the first for 3 years.  We nearly forgot how to do it. Nicely busy.
Thursday 31st
For the PTI with Schools Northeast in Sunderland! Reading White and Green Papers.
