Week 30:

Tuesday 3rd
We’re all about staffing until further notice.  Shuffling the packs.
Wednesday 4th
Excellent and enthusiastic year 7 parents’ evening: what a pleasure to meet them.
Thursday 5th
Trinity Laban’s Jazz on Tour for y9, who know a bit about improvising, themselves.
Friday 6th
Meeting a prospective governor, keen to join the biggest voluntary group in the UK.
Saturday 7th
Talking to Early Career Teachers about the endless possibilities of their careers.

Week 31:

Monday 9th
Visitors from the OU, the comprehensive university.  Glad to work with them.
Tuesday 10th
Drafting a shadow staffing structure.  We used to have to do them every year.
Wednesday 11th
Year 11’s last ordinary assembly!  My Y13’s last ordinary lesson!
Thursday 12th
The BBC come filming for a Monday piece on exams: ready or not?
Friday 13th
Yes indeed. Total ICT failure for the year 11 leaving assembly. Much busking.
Saturday 14th
Governors’ strategy session: ICT, staffing, ethics, planning, equality.

Week 32:

Monday 16th
A conversation with a parent about home educating a child, a sense of failure.
Tuesday 17th
A visit from a church leader, discussing grammar schools.  See above.
Wednesday 18th
VG meeting with HTs on behaviour, attendance, inclusion and working with parents!
Thursday 19th
Discussing the future of vocational education, Ebacc’d almost out of existence
Friday 20th
Jubilee assemblies start. Writing the Tallis 50 souvenir booklet, against the clock.

Week 33:

Monday 23rd
Queen’s Gallery, 6 students, 2 teachers talking about 1st class art teaching.
Tuesday 24th
With high attainers’ parents: why choose comprehensive? Because its better.
Wednesday 25th
Student Jury Service: do we do what we say on race, gender, equity? 
Thursday 26th
A remembrance ceremony for a former student in the garden.
Friday 27th
Day 2 of 2 local shops ban. End of recruitment season.
